DIET AND NUTRTION We are what we eat, so we must make a conscious decision as to what we eat to develop and sustain life-long healthy eating habits and make a lifestyle choice, not a ‘diet’ with a short-term duration.
THINK before and as we eat. 6 small meals per day is a mindful choice.
EXERCISE Select a program and/or a trainer that you consciously enjoy, or you won't continue. Make a firm choice to show up at each scheduled class and keep this thought in the forefront of your mind. Realize this is a priority for your lifestyle change to be successful. 3-4 training sessions per week with 3 rest days is optimal.
SLEEP As research has shown, sleep is important for many reasons. It restores brain function and alertness in preparation for exercise training sessions. Sleep also enhances muscular recovery through protein synthesis and human growth hormone release. Not sleeping enough—less than seven hours of sleep per night—can reduce and undo the benefits of both dieting and exercise.
Be MINDFUL If you want to advance to a healthy and permanent lifestyle, pay attention each day to what you eat, the amount you eat, the amount you sleep and consistent work-outs . These are the key game-changers to bring success to your quest.
